Dave
Dechow,
Music & Technology Director
a member of
the Chancel Choir, played piano for the Cherub Choir, and provides occasional back-up for
the church organist. He plays piano, organ, guitar, saxophone, clarinet,
and sings as a participant in the church’s wide-ranging music ministry.
David’s music background is firmly rooted in the Methodist church; he grew up in
Muskegon and participated in choirs and learned organ at Muskegon's Central
United Methodist Church.
David, along with wife Debi and son Luke, has
resided in the Holt area for over 15 years, and in the Greater Lansing area for
over 30 years.
During the week David works at Aptúra Machine Vision
Solutions, a company he founded which provides integrated systems, engineering
services, and technical support for users of machine vision technology.
David has worked in the field of machine vision for over 25 years as a
programmer, engineer, and corporate manager and is a recipient of the Automated
Imaging Association Achievement Award for career contributions to scientific and
industrial imaging.
In his spare time, David enjoys music, gourmet
cooking, computers, golf, and is a private pilot.
