Worship
Worship
at Holt United Methodist Church is a gathering of the people of God to give God
our thanks and praise. In our worship we publicly affirm our faith in
Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We bring before God our prayers, our
offerings, and our presence. Worship is also a time for inspirational
preaching with a practical application, the celebration of sacraments, the
enjoyment of music, the offering of the arts in order to glorify God.
Through worship we also seek to edify God’s people, strengthen Christian
Community, and grow disciples for Jesus Christ.
Currently worship
is offered at Holt United Methodist Church three times each Sunday morning (8:30
A.M.; 9:30 A.M.; and 11 A.M.), and at other special times during the year (Ash
Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Easter Vigil, Christmas Eve). These services
are all open to the public and visitors are welcome. Child care is offered
in a staffed nursery for all Sunday morning services.
Our 8:30
A.M. service, held in our Chapel offers traditional worship in an informal
setting in a service that typically lasts about 45 minutes. Many who
worship at 8:30 A.M. appreciate the intimacy of the setting and the sense of
community that is a part of this worship experience.
Our 9:30 A.M.
contemporary service held in the sanctuary features a musical style that is
upbeat and led by our world class praise team. A children’s message and
“kingdom kids” program make this growing service attractive for families and
people of all ages who love the newer style of music.
Our 11 A.M.
traditional service in our church sanctuary offers music supplemented by our
talented church choirs: adult, bell, children’s. This great hour of
worship also offers an appreciated children’s message and “kingdom kids”
program.
A sermon is normally offered at all three services.
Many who worship here affirm that the morning message is an important part of
why they worship at Holt UMC. If you have further questions about our
